How to go to Oaxaca

There are several ways to get to Oaxaca:
By air: The city of Oaxaca has its own airport, Xoxocotlán International Airport (OAX), with flights from major cities in Mexico such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. Some airlines that operate flights to Oaxaca include Aeroméxico, Interjet, and Volaris.
By bus: Oaxaca is well-connected by bus to other cities in Mexico. There are several bus companies that operate services to and from Oaxaca, including ADO, OCC, and Estrella Blanca. The journey time from Mexico City to Oaxaca is around 6-8 hours, depending on the type of bus and the route taken.
By car: If you are driving from Mexico City, you can take the toll highway (autopista) to Oaxaca, which takes around 5-6 hours. It's recommended to rent a car from a reputable rental company and be aware of local driving laws and customs.
By train: There is no direct train service to Oaxaca, but you can take a train to the nearby city of Puebla and then continue your journey by bus or car.
Once you arrive in Oaxaca, you can easily explore the city and surrounding areas on foot or by public transport. Taxis and colectivos (shared taxis) are also readily available.
