If you are looking for a weekend getaway during the rainy season in Yangon, the colonial door of The Strand will surely open a gate to an impeccable service and mouthwatering food cooked to perfection by Chef Patrick. A must visit to revitalize inside and out from the monsoon blue.

Exceptional service. Old colonial beautiful hotel with butler service. Great location in the heart of Yangon. Because it is an historical building, all the rooms are a bit different and the hot water is not “hot” by American standards. A bit of street noise but it didn’t keep me from sleeping, and I’m a very light sleeper.
