Eskaya Beach Resort & Spa

An exclusive and serene beach hideaway where spoiling and pampering is the norm.

Eskaya Beach Resort & Spa nestles amid 16 hectares of lush tropical gardens on Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. The resort is made up of 15 private villas and a superb spa, which is why it is the place for indulgent privacy and seclusion.

The name “Eskaya” refers to the only known indigenous people of Bohol, Philippines. It is in Panglao Island, which is at the southernmost tip of Bohol. It is located halfway through Panglao along its coast facing the Bohol Sea.

The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed with crisp, cool villas, breathtaking sea views and discrete but attentive staff. Feel the gentle sea breeze as you languish in your private whirlpool and plan where to have dinner; by the infinity pool, on the beach with a personal butler or in the privacy of your villa.

Architecture of the buildings is decidedly Filipino with a splash of modern amenities. The thatched villas, or “balai” in the dialect, are single-detached. These are built with sturdy construction materials, but the ample use of indigenous materials like bamboo, cogon, and wood for finishing is highly evident.

Pros - not too many guests when we went there. Top notch facilities. Restaurant food was expensive but with big servings. Infinity pool is picture perfect.Cons - beach front is not that good.

Beautiful villas with great view and great location. But the staff, the service were disappointing. We went here as two couples and we had booked two sea view villas close to each other. Once we got there, we realised that the sea view villas actually have a partial sea view with other villas blocking the view. They had changed one of our villas to garden view - without checking with us, at the same high price of sea view. We then wanted to moved into the family villa but that took them another 30 minutes of processing our request. We waited an actual hour and a half before we could all check-in despite multiple emails and communication beforehand. Once we got in, the family villa is stunning with beautiful unfettered sea view and great food & cocktails at the restaurant. The service was not great in terms of not stocking up coffee or minibar or not enough cups for 4 of us everyday and when we enquired regarding 2 hour late checkout - there was a 75USD charge per hour.
