Awesome place that my wife and I stayed at for our 1 year Anniversary. The restaurant that is attached is fantastic, while the hotel is charming with an amazing staff. If you can I can't recommend this place enough as its right along the river with amazing views and you can walk to all the sites in Lucerne.

Housed in a former Guild Hall, the Hotel des Balances enjoys a picturesque location on the Reuss river in the heart of Old Lucerne. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Most rooms offers views of the Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and the Weinmarkt square. The Restaurant La Balance serves excellent French and Swiss cuisine and features a river-side terrace. There is also a casual bistro and a piano bar at the Hotel des Balances. From January to March 2016, guests staying 2 nights or longer receive the free 2-day Winter-Tell-Pass, providing several benefits.
